Affiliate Disclosure
This page states the money side plainly. The site lists 63 free walking tours across GuruWalk and freetour.com, every one run by an independent local guide. No booking is made on these pages. Each reservation happens on the platform that publishes the walk, and no tour is operated or sold here. The one income stream, and what it does not buy, is written below.
How The Money Works
Money reaches this site in a single way: affiliate commission from the walking tours. Reserve a free spot through a link on these pages, on the guide's GuruWalk page or on a freetour.com walk, and the platform pays this site for the referral. The walker's cost stays the same. Every walk on this roster is free, pay what you want, and the amount given at the end is the walker's own choice.
That referral fee is the site's only revenue. Walks appear here because they are published on GuruWalk or freetour.com, where spots are reserved. No other booking platform is linked, and no other money comes in.
This site sells nothing and runs no tours of its own. To join a walk, a visitor claims a free spot on the guide's own page on GuruWalk or on freetour.com, and every walk is free, pay what you want. Any commission goes from the platform to this site directly. The walker's gift at the end is untouched by it.
How This Site Earns
None of the walks named on these pages is run, guided or funded by this site. Every one belongs to an independent local guide, published on GuruWalk or on freetour.com, and every one is free to reserve, with the walker choosing the amount at the end. When a booking follows a link here, the platform may pay this site a commission. That payment leaves the walk itself unchanged: free, pay what you want is the price on each listing here.
The rest of the site works the same way. Entry rules appear as each institution sets them, with the condition attached. A ticketed attraction is written as ticketed, plainly. Nothing is dressed up to catch a click.
What The Commission Does Not Buy
- No walk is priced on these pages. Free, pay what you want is the price, and reservations happen on GuruWalk or on freetour.com.
- A GuruWalk score runs out of 5 and a freetour.com score out of 10, and no rating is converted to the other platform's scale.
- Every walk belongs to its own guide or operator. This site runs none of them.
- Ratings and review counts are never altered. They come straight from GuruWalk and freetour.com, shown as each platform records them.
- A place counts as free only when it is free outright. Where entry carries a condition, that condition sits beside the word free in the same sentence, and a ticketed place is written as ticketed.
Where The Figures Come From
Ratings come straight from each walk's own page. A GuruWalk page scores out of 5 and a freetour.com page out of 10, and neither figure is converted to the other scale. What appears here is the whole figure with its review count beside it, as each platform prints it.
Attractions are treated one by one. Each museum and monument carries its own printed entry rule: ticketed stays ticketed, and any free-entry window appears with its own condition attached rather than as a bare claim.
It Does Not Depend On This Site
Nothing on this page is free because this site says so. The viewpoints, squares and riverside cost nothing on their own account, and this site only describes what already stands.
The walks work the same way. Each can be reserved directly on GuruWalk or freetour.com, with this site left out of the process. It points the way; it does not sit in between.
